Pride...lies and deceipt

Do we think about our actions? Do we think about what we do? Whether it be at work, at home, at Church or with our friends we should always be true to ourselves for their is no one to hide from when it is yourself.
I have experienced some things which disturb me. When you have been working for people who purport to be honourable but then lie and think it is okay because they hold a certain position that becomes an untenable concept.
I once mentioned to a certain someone that respect is earned and not expected because of ones position. THat did not go down well, then when one mentions one may be in disagreement with certain issues instead of being able to discuss as professionals, one is hauled in front of human resources with unchallengable statements. When I say unchallengable, in a civilised company one would have the right to appeal and proof of the issues raised, but apparently that can be a dismissable offence to challenge the very tenets of management.
I suppose in my mind, in a civilised workplace that common ssnese and fair play would reign, but one learns from experience. But never in 25 years in my profession have I been lied to, deceived, had two faced slander raised against me and ultimately been fired falsely...

Interesting eh...but then, its the Medical Insurance Industry and one knows what they are like eh!!!
